Throw the sea anchor

IMPORTANT: Make sure that the MOB* is attached to the end of the floating line!

Remove the sea anchor marked 3 from the case. 
Accelerate your vessel slowly to a speed of 1kn and throw the sea anchor into the water. The sea anchor must be thrown from the side of the vessel you wish to recover the MOB*.
For the entire rescue process sail the vessel away from the sea anchor (the sea anchor must be aft).
Stay at the helm and regulate the return speed of the MOB* carefully.
Observe the MOB* and make sure that the return speed is not too fast. If you want to interrupt the return process, stop the vessel.
If the MOB* has arrived at the vessel's side but is still in the water, the time has come for the lift. To do this, motor slowly forward.
As soon as the MOB* is back on board, stop the vessel. 
Secure the MOB* with a life belt. 
Only now should MOB* be released from the end of the CATCH and LIFT system.

Our recommendation after an emergency situation: Rescuers and MOB* are likely to be in a state of shock. Take care of the rescued person and yourself. Don't waste time retrieving the CATCH and LIFT sea anchor from the water. 
Use a knife to cut the line leading to the sea anchor. Alternatively, remove the block marked 1 (vessel must be standing) and throw it overboard, including all life-saving equipment.
